Dentures? Crowns? Implants? - All made right here, on site in our Laboratory!
The Dental Laboratory plays an essential roll in the dental health industry.
What is a Dental Laboratory?
While the Dentists and Prosthetist handle everything chair-side in the surgery - it is our Laboratory Facilities and our team of highly skilled Dental Technicians that set us apart from your regular Dental Surgery.
Following the prescription provided by the Dentist or Prosthetist, we perfectly copy all of the functional and aesthetic parameters of a patient to manufacture an ideal restorative solution for each patients needs. Our crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, mouth guards & splints are all made right here, on site.
Dental Laboratory Technicians have to be highly skilled in many areas as this type of work is very detailed and delicate. They must have a full understanding of anatomy, phonetics, aesthetics and material sciences in order to manufacture the optimal restoration.
What does this mean to you?
Having a Dental Laboratory on-site means that we can provide more accurate, more aesthetic quality restorations with a faster turnaround. You will receive the best possible outcome for your treatment involving laboratory made products.
It also allows us to offer more convenient Same Day & Emergency Solutions for Denture Repairs or Adjustments.
Once an impression is taken (mould) it is sterilised and handed off to the lab with a prescription along with instructions on how to make your appliance. The moulds are then used to create a working model from which your prosthesis will be fabricated.
Throughout the entire process, from initial patient consultation, diagnosis, treatment planning to final restoration placement, the communication between the Dentist and the Laboratory Technician are vital in the fabrication of a successful restoration. Communication is the key between any surgery & laboratory. Having everything all under the one roof optimises the results possible.
Most dental laboratories are located some distance from the surgery they work for, and as such most technicians never have the opportunity to see the work they do in the mouth. We believe that this is an essential part of the job we do and vital to making the best possible restoration for a patient.
